Rwanda Tourists Testimonials

After a four and a half hours drive from Kigali to Bujumbura on the 23rd Aug 2010 in my Land Rover Discovery which challenged Burundi’s rolling hills and the steep escarpment of the Albertine Rift Valley,i finally got to meet my good friend Bahati Jean Claude Klovis waiting for me.

We set off the next morning on 24th August birding further south where I was able to spot a Southern cordonbleu for the first time and when we returned to the Hotel, a House sparrow was waiting for me on the window of my room.

Those are very rare birds to see in the Albertine Rift region. 25th August was a day for culture where we we went to Gishora to see the National Museum and the traditional drumming.

we went Birding in Ruvubu National Park and the high-light was a White headed Buffalo Weaver though it seemed out of range. We stayed in Gitega

A big Fig tree was planted at the Colonial time in the middle of Gitega to serve as a land mark of the center of Burundi.
